Cast the Character Game – DC

Celebrating the 75th Blog Post

Cast the Character Game - DC 75th Blog Post

I’m celebrating my 75th post on the Donald Jay Author blog with a game called Cast the Character. Here’s how it works. I’ll name one of your favorite characters (or a soon-to-be-introduced character) from Dickens Station and share a little about them.

Your challenge is to play the director and “cast the character.” In other words, tell me or show me who you envision playing the role of this character when Dickens Station is made into a blockbuster movie or television series. Your selection can be real or fictional, contemporary or historical, or anyone or any animal you like.

Simple, no?

Let’s start with everyone’s favorite Dickens Stationer, DC, the cat.  For DC’s story, please take a quick look at the article about her by Emily Dodson in the Dickens Station Daily Telegraph at https://donaldjay.com/meet-dc/. DC also appears in the short story, Christmas Renewal, and will soon appear in my upcoming treasure hunt mystery novel, Marley’s Curse.

So, please show me your favorite feline or a picture of a cat you envision as perfect for the role of DC.

I love this idea Don! This kitten doesn’t LOOK like DC might…but he showed up in random places. In this picture he’s on a high shelf in a closet! Too funny! We’ve fostered so many kittens over the years I had to pick one of them for this. 🙂
