Happy birthday to Amelia Dickens, the matriarch of our beloved Dickens Station, Vermont, and the great-great-granddaughter of the town’s founder, Merritt Otto Dickens.
To Dickens Stationers, Amelia, as she prefers to be addressed, is the grandmother we all claim as our own. She is always there for us with a disarming smile, a listening ear, and a compassionate heart. She also has this uncanny knack for offering gem-like advice at just the right time.
To those outside Dickens Station, Amelia is a formidable, shrewd, and talented businesswoman known for her keen financial mind. Many in the banking world regard her as an influencer, advisor, mentor, and, yes, friend.
Amelia can be found on DickensStation.com in the free short story A Sugarbush Easter and will appear in the soon-to-be-released novel Marley’s Curse, A Dickens Station Treasure Hunt Mystery, later this year.
I love how much depth you give each character. While technically fictional, these people and the town of Dickens Station couldn’t feel any more real. Happy birthday Amelia!
Thanks, Dianna.
